MSME Definition - New

The Union Cabinet last week approved a proposal to change the definition of Micro, Small and Medium enterprises. Since 1950s Small Scale Industries (SSIs) and later MSMEs have been traditionally defined based on their investment in plant and machinery for manufacturing units, and investment in equipment for service enterprises, and now the new definition define them based on their annual turnover. This decision, which came on the heel of the Budgetary proposal to the reduce corporate tax to companies having turnover up to Rupee 250 crore, is a welcome one.

According to the new definition, a micro enterprise is a unit where the annual turnover does not exceed Rs. 5 crore, a small enterprise is one where annual turnover is between Rs. 5 crore and Rs 75 crore, and a medium enterprises is where the turnover is more than Rs 75 crore but does not exceed Rs 250 crore. In order to give this new MSME definition into effect, the Section 7 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006 will be amended in the coming days.....more here

Retractable roof production technology

I am representing Cravo for  Asian region which is leader in retractable roof production technology for tropical and mild climates which can be used for growing lot of nutraceutical crops in different agroclimatic conditions . We have most suitable production technology for these crops which is based upon nature, protection and climate optimization for year round production .
Compared to cooling pads and fans, this technology will allow you to achieve approximately a 90% reduction in electrcity and water required for coolingand will help:
·       prevent the massive heat build up that occurs in conventional greenhouses
·       eliminate the need to activate the fog cooling system until outside temperatures exceed 35C and humdity levels drop below 55%
·       reduce the plant temperature at night by allowing heat to radiate to the cold sky while still preventing dew from forming on the leaves
·       increase winter yields by providing higher light levels during the short winter days
·       reduce the yield loss that occurs in fixed roof houses due to dirt accumulation on the roof
  • prevent the yield loss which occurs in a fixed roof polyhouse after a rainfall since the poly can be retracted at any time to increase evaporation from the wet leaves and soil
The retractable roof will allow you to utilize “The Retractable Roof Production System” to help you:
Increase Revenues
•          Extending the growing season or target off season production
•          Growing more fruit or flowers per plant
•          Growing higher quality fruit (longer shelf life, less chemical residue, bigger size, higher brix)
•          Expanding possible production locations in climates where it is difficult to grow with traditional technologies, and grow different varieties of crops than were previously possible
Decrease operating costs by reducing the need for:
•          Labor
•          Electricity
•          Water
•          Fungicides and pesticides
Reduce risks of crop loss due to weather variability
•          Reduce the inherent variability that comes with relying on the weather
•          Reduce risk of loss from catastrophic events (i.e. hurricanes)

To understand this technology Kindly go through our website and watch this videos
Explainer video for Cravo, which develops retractable roof production systems that combine climate optimization, nature and protection to create superior growing environments for berry, cherry and vegetable production (total time 2:13)
A brief overview of how an automated retractable roof greenhouse or cooling house solves many of the problems experienced by growers producing in the open field or in conventional greenhouses or tunnels (total time 6:28)
How a retractable cooling house works and how it can reduce water and electricity usage compared to conventional greenhouse in desert and tropical locations (total time 12:20)

Let us discuss if you are going for future expansion
With best regards
